§ 74-18. Use of play vehicles.

  • (a)

    Definitions. The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this section, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Play vehicle means the same as set forth in § 340.01(43m), Wis. Stats., to wit: a coaster, skateboard, roller skates, roller blade, sled, toboggan, unicycle or toy vehicle upon which a person may ride.

    (b)

    Operating play vehicle prohibited.

    (1)

    The operation or riding of play vehicles on any areas that are held open to vehicle traffic and/or immediate operation of such vehicles shall be prohibited.

    (2)

    The operation or riding of play vehicles in other areas held out to the public, such as parking lots, that are properly posted prohibiting operation of play vehicles, unless having written permission from the owner or lessee, is prohibited.

    (3)

    No person riding upon any play vehicle may attach the vehicle or himself to any vehicle upon a roadway or go upon any roadway except while crossing a roadway at a crosswalk.
