§ 54-2. Geneva Lake Law Enforcement Agency.

  • (a)

    Pursuant to § 30.79, Wis. Stats., a water safety patrol unit known as the Geneva Lake Law Enforcement Agency is established. The purpose of this unit is to enforce upon the waters of Geneva Lake §§ 30.50—30.80, Wis. Stats., and the provisions of this chapter.

    (b)

    The agency shall be governed by a board of administrators consisting of the chief elected official from each of the municipalities having this provision. The board of administrators has the power to hire any personnel necessary for the operation of the unit. It also has the power to establish any staff to directly supervise the operation of the unit. This staff shall be directly responsible to the board of administration.

    (c)

    Each administrator may appoint one alternate elected official from his or her municipality to act on his or her behalf in the event of his or her absence at meetings of the board of administrators. The alternate elected official so designated shall be kept on file with the board of administrators.
